I’m Anna, a Boulder, Colorado-based lifestyle and interior design photographer and am always looking for connection and beauty. I value deep relationships, nature and caring for our bodies, minds, and souls, well-designed interiors, intentional living, seeing the world, and capturing authentic moments in a beautiful way.
I was named after my great-grandmother who emigrated from Germany, which is why Anna rhymes with Ghana and not banana. I’m an Enneagram 7 and will say yes to almost anything involving sun on my skin.
The best part of my job is witnessing the moments no one else gets to see with your most loved people, catching the light as it falls across a beautiful room, pausing time with people living life in a city, capturing the work of an artisan small business.
Telling your story in a beautiful way is the most precious gift to me and the way I feel like I can give back to the world.
How it feels to be a photographer, in general
“If you asked me what it’s like to be a wedding photographer, I’d probably smile and tell you it’s fun, creative, and full of pretty details. And that’s true.
But if you asked me on deeper level, I’d tell you it’s something so much more than taking photos. It’s being invited into one of the most important days of someone’s life, and not just as a witness, but as the one who sees everything. The nerves before walking down the aisle. The way a couple looks at each other when no one else is paying attention. The tear a parent tries to hide. The hand squeezes, the laughter, the quiet pauses between all the big moments.
It’s standing at the center of so much love and emotion and holding the responsibility of turning it all into memories that will last long after the day is over. It’s realizing that the photos I take will become the way stories are told for years to come, the way someone remembers how it felt to be there.
